My name is J. Piper Kerr, and I live in New York.
I currently work professionally as a client side engineer for a web publisher that specializes in gaming communities. I am not a graphic designer. It’s not that I don’t like them, or like what they do, but I am not a visually creative person. What I do is bridge the gap between design and functionality, and try to make everything more usable and interactive.
Before that I did a healthy stretch as the lead programmer at a software consultancy that fancied clients with large offices in Manhattan. But I would day dream of design integration and video games, so my love affair with them ended.
I enjoy programming, and the bulk of my recrational time is still spent programming, I enjoy tinkering around with languages that have found homes on the web, so I dabble in Python, PHP, and JavaScript often. During the warmer months, and sometimes during the colder ones I like to strike out and tame the great wilderness with hiking/backpacking excursions, skis, and snow shoes.
